Spennymoor Town Gala 2008 Town Mayor Ian Harrington with wife Gill. He is holding a stuffed dog, which has been presented to him by the proprietor of the sideshow (behind) which will be used as a raffle prize at one of his fund-raising functions. Every Town Mayor raises money for a local good cause of their choice - usually raising in excess of £10,000, which is very good for such a small town.
