Horseshoe Falls
The Horseshoe Falls are in fact a man made weir, designed by Thomas Telford with the object of impounding some of the raging waters of the River Dee as it surges down the Llangollen valley - to be diverted into the Llangollen Canal, coincidentally transporting (domestic) water over 25miles to the Hurlseton Reservoir and Shropshire Union Canal (proper). - Rosalie (photographer)
