Leeds to Liverpool Canal Leeds to Liverpool canal at Skipton, does cruises with afternoon tea, or roast dinners. A very enjoyable afternoon in a very picturesque setting. The Canal was built around 1770 in order to transport goods over the Pennines from Leeds to Liverpool and was in use before the advent of the railways.
