Normanton Church with Red Sunset Although there had been a snow flurry on the day of my visit to Normanton, the sky cleared in the evening and allowed a spectacular red sunset and Normanton church made a great silhouette for the occasion. This picture appears in the following picture tours: |
Normanton Church View with Boat When the Rutland Water reservoir was to be built it meant flooding a large part of Ephingham, including the church. As the nearby residents didn't want to loose their church, it was decided to raise the church floor by filling it with rubble from the Reservoir development and to lay a new higher floor.
