I can remember this footbridge on the Teesdale Way between High Coniscliffe and Merrybent being erected in the 1950's.

Valley House and St Edwin's Church

St. Edwin's Church, High Coniscliffe and the recently rebuilt Valley House, which sits in woodland where Coniscliffe Grange once stood before it burned to the ground in the 1940's

Then and now

St Edwin's Church, High Coniscliffe taken 22 Feb 2009. It is thought that the name of Coniscliffe is derived from " King's Cliffe". The two villages of High (or Church) Coniscliffe and Low Coniscliffe are two miles apart along the River Tees which marks the boundary between North Yorkshire and County Durham.
