Sad history

There were about five of these pill boxes alongside a disused railway line, now a nature walk. They were put here to guard an American airbase in the second world war. Glad it is as peaceful here now, as the lamb appears to be.

Meldon Hall

This looked like it should have been a gate house, but it was called a Banqueting Hall. Inside was more like a breakfast room, very small.
