Loe Bar, near Porthleven, Cornwall Loe Bar is a mile long sand and shingle ridge separating the Loe, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the south of England, from the sea. It has many interesting maritime plants such as sea holly and sandwort growing on it. Porthleven is on the Lizard.
