Chapel - Marble Effigy of Lord HADDON

The grieving mother, Violet carved this effigy of her son who died during his early years, in 1894. The original one that Violet carved is at Belvior Castle, this copy, at Haddon Hall is in Italian Marble.

Haddon Hall - King John's Wall

A licence was given by the future King John to build this 12 ft high wall around the original building in 1195, and though most of the wall survives, it is not easily seen as it is incorporated in later buildings.
