I just loved the way clock face stood out on the tower whilst everything seemed slightly darker even though it was early afternoon.

The old Yew tree in the Churchyard.

The old Yew tree is getting on for 1000 years old. Several of its older branches are supported by telegraph poles of various heights. I wonder how many children have climbed it over the years...

A tree's history

This cross section depicts moments in time from when the tree was first planted right up till present day and with the tree still going strong I think that in the future there will be another bigger cross section!

You couldn't see much at all of the garden from the gate but it gave the impression of so much more was waiting just out of sight.

A walk along the waters' edge

At low tide it is possible to walk along the edge from the car park to an orchard that leads you right into the heart of Stoke Gabriel.
