John Smith's Park
John Smith's Park at Longridge, in Lancashire ... in the early 1800's it was one of the many quarries in the area, stone from which was used for local buildings and major developments in Lancashire. Evidence of it's history is still visible in the park, the quarry tunnels, a cast iron base of a crane, and glimpses of the quarry face. - Sue Bristo (photographer)
