Building Plot This piece of land used to be open cast gravel pits. The pits were filled in with fly ash from the then nearby Drakelow powerstation in the late 1960's and 1970's. It is now home to meadow flowers and ground nesting birds with rough pasture for sheep, but not for much longer as planning permission has been given to build 650 houses on the site. It's at times like this I wish I was a millionaire, I'd buy it and keep it as it is! This picture appears in the following picture tour: Camera Make: RICOH Model: CX2 |
