Ouse Valley Viaduct, Balcombe. Taken from under the supporting arches, the tallest is 97 ft high, the viaduct carries the London to Brighton line and is a marvellous example of Victorian engeneering. Ouse Valley Viaduct At nearly 1500 ft long this viaduct is one of the longest Victorian viaducts in England, built with 11 million dutch bricks, delivered by barge up the then navigable river Ouse.
