From the garden

I was lining this shot up more to get the little boy who is sat in the dappled light, but then some people stepped into the view through the gate so I managed to make them part of the picture. I felt the lady in the hat gave a bit of a 1920's feel to the picture.

In the shadow of the castle

Interestingly my son Michael took this same picture but simply by using his mobile phone where all the settings are done for him, he just has to tap the screen. Needless to say his picture came out much sharper, with much more detail and vibrant colours in comparison to my image.
