Tickford Bridge – The oldest working Iron Bridge in Europe

This bridge was built in 1810 and is, I believe, The oldest cast iron bridge still carrying a full traffic load anywhere in the world. It was cast in Rotherham and transported down to Newport Pagnell by barge and road, quite a feat really in 1810.

This is the church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire. It is around 700 yrs old in parts and is very pretty. It had the nave added around 100 years after the original church was built
