Former LNER engineers depot, Darlington Established, in 1932, the London & North Eastern Railway set up a civil engineering depot in Darlington. Later inherited by British Railways, the site is now jointly used by Network Rail and Fastline for much the same purpose it was built for. The original curved archway was rebuilt in the early 1990s to accommodate larger road vehicles. This picture appears in the following picture tours: |
