Saxon Tower, Haddiscoe, Norfolk

Haddiscoe church stands on a high mound with a commanding view over the surrounding countryside. The tower was built by the Saxons in four internal telescopic stages. It's deep chequered battlements were added in the 15th century. A church well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.
