Lendalfoot, South Ayrshire Lendalfoot is a small coastal village in South Ayrshire which overlooks the Firth of Clyde and the distinctive island of Ailsa Craig which was formed from the volcanic plug of a long extinct volcano. The island, known locally as Paddy's Milestone, is now uninhabited but was once the source of granite used to make curling stones. It is also a sanctuary for gannets and puffins.
