Nature & Industry @ St Agnes Most folk usually photograph the engine house half way down the cliff at the Towanroath Shaft, in fact along with The Crowns at Botallack these are the most photographed mines in Cornwall. However, nearer to the top of the cliff are numerous other remaining reminders of the search for tin and copper that went on in Cornwall. Here we see some of the other parts of Wheal Coates mine surrounded by the signs of nature re-establishing itself.
