Cafe Display

In the Oak Park there is a very popular cafe and this display of Red Hot Pokers grows just by the outside tables. If you like cake there is plenty to go round.

In Oaks Park on the far south of the Carshlton area a golf course takes up one part of the green space. All around the perimeter of the park is a couple of miles of a nature walk and where the golf course spreads out of the confines of the Park it is bisected by the nature walk. Thus taking the walk one does have to beware as I did see at least two golf buggies zipping across the walk at a clearing, no one had any close calls but someone walking their dog found out that their dog liked to chase buggies and would not take no for an answer. In the picture we see the dreaded pitfall of the BUNKER ! At least after his bashing away at the ball he did rake over the mess he made.

Spotted in one of the fields amongst the dark wooden clad buildings on the borders of Carshalton and Woodmansterne. This area and the nearby Oaks Park are part of what was the Earl of Derby's land.
