Roy's Bakery and Coffee Shop

At the corner of Hotspur Street and Front Street in downtown Tynemouth is Roy's Bakery and Coffee Shop. It was a delightful place to stop each day of my morning walk to have a cup of tea and a treat of some kind or another.

Meeting point

I begin my walk

I sit reflecting on the walk I am about to take along the mouth of the Tyne from the North Sea....up to the Lord Collingwood Monument, to the Tynemouth Priory and Castle and through the town of Tynemouth, back to the start of my walk. It is a glorious day.
