Corpach from Loch Linnhe Corpach is a small village located in the Highlands of Scotland amongst the stunning scenery. The village sits at the foot of Ben Nevis and from a geological point of the view it is also in a very interesting territory as it lies on the Great Glen Fault. The Great Glen Fault bisects the Scottish Highlands into the Grampian Mountains to the Southeast and the Northwest Highlands to the Northwest. The etymology of the name Corpach also has an interesting history as it reputedly comes from the Gaelic for 'Field of Corpses' as the village was once used as a resting place for the bodies of chieftains on their last travel to Iona Island for burial and the mythical afterlife.
