Heron

A heron on the canal bank at Belgrave. I was able to get to within about 20 feet or so by walking very slowly up to it.

Canal at belgrave

A peaceful scene along the Grand Union Canal at Belgrave , Leicester. Belgrave is not a village as such its actually an area of the city very near the centre. This scene is about 1.5 miles from the clock tower in Leicester.

Oops!

This chap was having engine problems with his narrowboat and at this point was rushing head on at the bank.He threw me a line so I could pull them in. This is at Grand Union canal,Belgrave, Leicester. There are mooring rings set into the side of the bank if you look over the side.
