Ogwen Falls The River Ogwen flows out of the western end of Llyn Ogwen and decends rapidly down a series of waterfalls and cataracts known as the Ogwen Falls . Nant Ffrancon Valley Nant Ffrancon is a deeply glaciated and visually dramatic valley in north Snowdonia, dropping down to Bethesda between the Carneddau and Gludeiriau Sites of Special Scientific Interest. The valley begins in Cwm Idwal, carrying water from Llyn-y-Cwn to join the Ogwen Valley below the Ogwen Falls on Afon Ogwen. River Ogwen The main source of the River Ogwen is in Llyn Ogwen, which is situated alongside the A5 road as it starts to descend through Snowdonia.
