"Thanks Zbigniew, for confirming which model of 5D you used for this shot. I often use a 'classic' 5D myself for landscape shots. I think the large size of the individual photo receptor sites on the sensor give this camera a special quality. The combination of the full-frame sensor and the relatively low resolution (12.8 MegaPixel) is actually an advantage." - Edward Lever(28th October 2018)

"Thank you Edward . Picture was taken with "classic" version of 5D . Recently I switched to D750 ( from Nikon ) but love my old Canon and I'm still using it ." - Zbigniew Siwik(28th October 2018)

"Great shot, with subtle rendering of the textures of the vegetation and the rocks. I think the Canon 5D is a great camera (not sure which version you are using) but they all give a beautiful film-like quality." - Edward Lever(27th October 2018)

"Sadly, Peter Evans, the photographer who took this picture, is no longer with us. I think Peter died around Christmas 2012. He was a well-loved member of PoE, and even though I did not know him personally, he contributed many fine pictures to the site. There are many tributes to Peter at http://www.picturesofengland.com/forum/Off-Topic_Chat/5849" - Edward Lever(26th October 2018)
