About Littlewick Green

Littlewick Green lies south-west of Maidenhead, it is perhaps best known for its fine Cricket Club where the game of cricket has been played for over two hundred years.

The cricket ground is in a most idyllic setting, where you can easily imagine the summers of yester-year when bright young things dressed in Victorian and Edwardian finery, cheered their local sporting heroes. Even the buildings assembled around the beautifully manicured green are evocative of a by-gone era.

There are a couple of good pubs in the area, one is appropriately called "The Cricketers", there is also plenty of hotel accommodation, with the attractive Riders Country House Hotel, being tastefully decorated in an Equestrian theme.

Littlewick Green is close to The North Downs Way, within easy reach of delightful Maidenhead which possesses some of the finest reaches of the River Thames, particularly at Cookham where you will find the National Trust property Cliveden.

Apart from cricket, other popular sports in the region are golf and sailing on the Thames.
