Newbury, Berkshire

The pedestrian island in Newtown Rd ( formerly the A34 trunk road) where the Old London Apprentice pub once stood, it's name refering back to the day's of the Civil War and the London apprentices that supported the Parliamentarians. It closed in 1937 and was demolished in 1950 and in 1958, the St John's roundabout was finally built.
