About Grantchester

The village of Grantchester, is a picturesque village along the river Cam, often enjoyed by tourists and students who travel to the village by punt from nearby Cambridge, to picnic in the lovely meadows and enjoy tea served at The Orchard Tea Garden, something that has been in practice since 1897 when a group of students persuaded the owner to serve them tea. Well worth a visit.
