Less than 5 minutes’ walk from the center of Penrith, Wayfarers Independent Hostel provides comfortable accommodations to Lake District visitors. With a TV lounge, kitchen and dining room, this family-run hostel also has an outdoor terrace and offers free Wi-Fi access. Wayfarers Independent Hostel has private twin rooms with private bathrooms, as well as dormitories with bunk beds. All have lockers, bedside lights and bedding provided, with towels available for hire. The kitchen and dining room provides an oven, hob, microwave and toaster, and there is free tea and coffee available throughout your stay. Among the facilities useful to cyclists and walkers are a drying room and secure indoor bike storage. A buffet breakfast can also be provided for an additional charge. This high-quality hostel is a 5-minute walk from Penrith Museum, Tourist Information Center and the town’s cinema. Keswick and Derwent Water are a 25-30 minute drive from Penrith.
