I think too it was Start Point---Start coming from the Anglo-Saxon Stoert meaning, tail, like the Redstart bird name refers to its' tail too. The cove Florence mentioned swimming at might be Ravens Cove nearby, used by naturists to this day. Was Florence's middle name Amelia which might be her mother's name. The Victorians loved reusing names in the family in one way or another. Rosina Pattison had been born on the Isle of Wight and died in Cornwall aged only 20 or so.
