About Clacton-on-Sea

Clacton-on-Sea is a fine Victorian resort that offers visitors and enjoyable and jolly time. The long golden sandy beach is backed a broad promenade behind which are attractive gardens.

There is a lively pier offering a wide range of entertainments and since 1948 the town has had it's own Band who regularly entertain at concerts and compete in major competitions. Though the buildings in the town are mostly Victorian, the Martello Towers were built against Napoleonic invasion.

The town offers excellent sporting facilities and a wide variety of shops that cater for all needs and tastes.
