When I think of Ruislip, I immediately think of the Polish War Memorial beside the A40, but I haven't seen this smaller memorial before. The framework silhouette of the unknown soldier is almost 'not there' in our world but it is all the more poignant because of this. A nicely considered picture, with the War Memorial as a fitting background. Also, it is a perfect example of a 'rule of thirds' composition, making it altogether a very pleasing shot.
