Cleaver Cottage is a family-run bed and breakfast set on the edge of the village of Appleshaw, 5 miles from Andover and Tidworth. It is surrounded by pretty grounds and dates from the 1800s. The property maintains original exposed wooden beams and open fires, and behind the main house there is a traditional working forge. Guests can relax in a shared sitting room and games room. Offering views of the surrounding countryside, rooms have country-style décor and pleasant, floral finishes. There is heating, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. The home-cooked breakfasts include bacon, toast, tomatoes, cereal and free-range eggs, which are produced on site. You can enjoy lovely walks around the cottage, village and surrounding woods. The New Forest is a 45-minute drive away. The charming town of Winchester is can be reached in 25 minutes by car, while Salisbury is 21 miles away.
