This is a picture of the former Liberal Prime minister Lord Palmerston born 1784 died 1865, who had a long and colourful history. Recently the statue to the great man has undergone a clean up. He has associations with the South and the Isle of Wight where Queen Victoria was ensconced. The statue stands in the Park named after him; Palmerstone Park Southampton.
