About Leintwardine

Leintwardine is a large village in north Herefordshire, close to the border with Shropshire, and about 8 miles from the historic market town of Ludlow.
Leintwardine is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Lenteurde, and was recorded as being a large settlement for its time. There is evidence to suggest that Leintwardine performed the role of a trading post and outpost early in the Roman conquest of Britain.
