Nice to see those knobbly railings which I remember from my childhood visits to New Brighton. The monochrome treatment works well with the stark silhouettes of the dockside cranes on the Liverpool side adding a very gritty feel to this image.

Wonderful to see one of your fine photos again Rod. Really enjoy your style. Particularly your street scenes and more urban subjects like this. Really great. As Edward says, the monochrome really works well with this. Thanks for uploading.
