Gordale Scar, Malham, North Yorkshire

Gordale Scar is a dramatic limestone ravine north-east of Malham. It is believed to have been formed either by glacial melt waters or a collapsed cavern system. Gordale Beck flows out of the ravine and joins Malham Beck to form the head waters of the River Aire.

Another excellent shot David, just one of many of yours. I would advise members to take a look at Davd's pictures - you could learn a lot.
