About Middlezoy

This village lies on the Somerset Levels in lovely open countryside, it has a pleasant mixture of properties and a picturesque village pub dating back to the 17th-century. The tower of the historic Holy Cross church looks down over the graves of centuries, this is a lovely village church, well worth a few moments spent looking around.

Middlezoy, like neighbouring Westonzoyland is widely known for its associations with the Battle of Sedgemoor which took place in 1685. Other interesting historic sites close-by include the Burrow Mump, Stembridge Tower Mill and within easy driving distance visitors can cross the waters of the River Cary to reach Glastonbury Tor.
