The Hopper and the Sunflower

All attempts at growing some sunflowers have been a failure and this is as far as any have got and now this pic taken at the end of August I reckon not much else is going to happen. They had the droops after our recent downpours and in giving them some support I found this little character exploring one of the heads, since then I have seen quite a number of grasshoppers in different places. I have one concern- when I look at this I am reminded of the strange creatures found in London's Underground in that classic movie " Quatermass and the Pit "

The grass hopper is well camouflaged but the image is nicely sharp to get enough detail for it to be seen. I can see the similarity to the Quatermass creatures, I think for the animated sequences they actually used grass hoppers.
