The Old Cobblers self-catering holiday cottage is set in the heart of Marsden village, opposite the impressive St Bartholomew’s Church. It is 5 minutes walk from Marsden train station, which links Marsden to Huddersfield, Leeds and Manchester.
It is a newly refurbished cottage with an open-plan living room (with sofa bed), dining area and kitchen on the first floor . The bedroom, with kingsize bed and bathroom, are on the ground floor. The cottage has its own central heating and a fully equipped kitchen that will provide home from home comfort. Guests can enjoy a central village location in a fully self contained house with a babbling brook outside the window. The Old Cobblers is a 1 minute walk from the village shopping street, which has a range of pubs, eateries, shops and a handy convenience store with cash machine. Everything you need is on the doorstep! The Old Cobblers served the village of Marsden for many years as a Cobblers shop in the mid 20th century. The upstairs was used as the shop and workroom and the downstairs was for storage. Prior to that, it was a barber’s shop. Photos inside depict this history. Following renovation work a few years ago, the external appearance of the old building remains but with a modern comfortable interior. For further information on Marsden and the surrounding area, click on the link.
