Dockers Clock

This very rare example of an hexagonal clock tower, dating back to 1848, stands in Salisbury Dock, Liverpool. Taken 11.55 on 8th January 2009. At this time of the year the sun never really is overhead.

Great pic Rod ... great history details - but unless you have gone forward in time(which sounds like a great idea doesn't it)you have taken this pic in Dec 2009 ??

Fascinating photo. I remember many years ago, as a lad, seeing this clock tower from the Wallasey side of the river. I never got round to seeing it close up. Next time I am in Liverpool, I will check it out.
