Site of Former St. John's Street Station, Northampton

This modern multi-storey car park, designed with more than just a passing resemblance to a railway station, was built on the course of the old railway track itself only a few yards from the actual St. John's Street station itself. A section of the railway embankment close to the former station site that carried the line between Northampton and Bedford from 1872 to 1939, can still be seen squeezed between Beckett's Park and Morrisons supermarket close to Northampton town centre.
