All Saints Thorpe Acre and Dishley Church - bell croft

Although a London architect the largest cluster of William Railton's buildings are to be found in Leicestershire. The church at Thorpe Acre, Loughborough, was build in 1845 to replace the medieval church at Dishley. Railton's most famous work was Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square, London is best was probably Beaumanor Hall in Woodhouse, Leics.

Bell Croft ? more usual description of this architectural feature is Bell Cote. Nicely taken all the same.
