Stickle Pike, Duddon Valley, Cumbria

Stickle Pike is a fell in the southern Lake District, the summit is situated between the lower Duddon Valley and the smaller valley of Dunnerdale. it is (375 m, or 1230 ft) high. A "stickle" is a hill with a prominent rocky top. We attempted to climb it, but had to give up, it was so boggy we were in danger of getting stuck.

Better safe than sorry, like the hills in the background.

Sensible decision I have to agree, and really like that light catching the fells in the distance
