The George Hotel, Dorchester-on-Thames

This 15th century Inn on the High Street would once have served the coaching trade on the main road running through Dorchester. These days, the through traffic is carried on the Dorchester by-pass and the village has become an oasis of tranquility.

Thank you for your kind comment, Chris & Sarah. The George was used as a location for quite a few of the scenes in the 'Midsomer Murders' TV series. A guide can be downloaded from dorchester-on-thames.co.uk
