Tyneham a ghost town in rural Dorset, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village was siezed by the army in late 1943, in preparation for D-Day. May 2009

I tried to get this kiosk restored in the early '70s without success but it was eventually sort of restored. Those cottages had roofs at the time and behind the box was Tyneham Post Office. The army just let them go!
