West Highland, Loch Loyne

Loch Loyne is situated 15 miles west of Fort Augustus and serves as a resorvoir for the North of Scotland Hydro Electric Boards Glenmoriston power generation scheme. The River Loyne, which flows out Loch Loyne through Glen Loyne, meets with the Moriston at the settlement of Bun Loyne. This photo was taken from the A87 road which runs along the North edge of the loch on a bright clear day in the Highland.
