The Cormorant

This cormorant stands proud on a column on Llanelli's Millennium Coastal Park promenade and was unveiled by the Queen in 2002. It is Indian Granite and was carved by Indian craftsmen. However, many locals and especially those involved in fishing were far from pleased with the choice of a cormorant as the subject.

Nice carving, I too can understand the fishermen not being too happy with the choice.
