I couldn't see Bewdley in Worcestershire listed (my mother and sister live there). It's a beautiful Georgian riverside historic market town. It is famous for it's lovely bridge and flooding although now the flood barriers have been installed.

Oh, this is an old thread, but a really interesting one!! I noticed just the other day that Chesterfield is an old market town so I think I'll add it to the list!!

Yes, it's a very interesting spire! I usually come back through Chesterfield when I've been to Great Longstone in Derbyshire....a trip I make a couple of times a month. I don't know what made me notice the sign last time, I'll keep my eyes open in future!
