I agree Lyn, if I ever get back to visit, it will be to see all the places that the tourists never go to. To me , they would be the most beautiful places. I hate crowds and prefer the quiet of rural life.

When friends over here tell me they went to England, I ask "Where did you go"?

and if they say London, as most do, I tell them that they never saw England at all.

I agree Wolf, I don't particularly like London now, too busy and noisy for me, like you, I prefer the places where its not touristy. Everyone who comes to visit the UK seems to go to the usual places everyone else does, we're quite a big country really lol with lots to see!!.

Lyn, give me time!  I started traveling "late" in my adult life.  Plus it costs a bit 'o money to make the trip so I have to save up.  My dream would be to visit most if not every wonderful corner of the UK.  My first two trips were with the same people and I'm thinking if I ever go there by myself or with different folks, you can bet I'll be exploring different areas.  Bedfordshire just happens to be a place of interest to me, so, when did you say my room would be ready?  Wink

I fell in love with the series from the very first show. I immediatly knew that this is 'my' program to watch. Although I'm not into detective series.
