Has anyone noticed, looking through the Pubs & Inns photos, the most popular name for a pub is The Red Lion ?

Some of the names are quite unusual.  There are a a few Kings and Queens Heads, and Arms, but no Legs ???Laughing

One of the more popular names, Wolf, going back to the days when James 1st ordered that red lions be displayed outside public places.

LOL Laughing you two.

I'm just glad, Paul, that all the Fox and Hounds over there aren't some creepy chain.

Here's a Fox and Hounds in Starbotton, N. Yorkshire.  In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales - God's country for sure.

Very nice Ruth, the stone walls (fences) must have taken ages to build.
